Cops: Hit and Run Crash in Coram Kills Pedestrian

The fatal crash occurred just before 6 a.m. on Route 112 between Granny Road and Route 25, police said. The man, who was not identified, was struck by a light color vehicle traveling northbound. The vehicle fled the scene northbound on Route 25, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A make and model of the vehicle was provided. It is believed to be light in color, possibly tan, with front-end damage, police said. Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information about the incident to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
