Kenya declared Worlds Leading Safari Destination

first_imgKenya’s tourism has received a boost on being voted World’s Leading Safari Destination at the 2015 World Travel Awards (WTA) held in, El Jadida, Morocco. The awards saw Kenya clinch the coveted position for the second time after having topped in 2013.The other country nominees included South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.“We congratulate Kenya on this deserving win and encourage the country to continue their commitment to preserving the unique heritage bestowed to the country for the sake of generations to come,” said Graham Cooke, President, WTA.Kenya’s commitment to enhancing wildlife conservation and upholding best practices in managing properties within conservation areas was rewarded through accolades in safari, eco- and green facilities.Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has been voted Africa’s leading tourist board for the fourth time in a row. Besides beach and safari attractions, Kenya excels in other tourism products like culture, archaeology, and palaeontology.
